It’s that time of year again! Emerging artists from Ölands konstkola II present their annual graduation exhibition, featuring new approaches to video, performance, sculpture and painting. In this year’s exhibition, Interlude, students have examined art’s role in society and its relationship to the institution, at a moment between phases in their education and a shift in direction at Kalmar konstmuseum.
The decision to occupy the museum, despite the uncertain future of the institution, is in solidarity with those who believe that art has a vital role in the formation of public spaces for critical thinking and dialogue. We hope you will join us to celebrate the group’s accomplishments and support contemporary art in the Kalmar region!
