ARTUR ZMIJEWSKI // 12.6 - 5.9 2010

Kalmar konstmuseum is the first Swedish institution to present a solo exhibition of the internationally acclaimed Polish artist Artur Zmijewski, whose work has been shown at the Venice Biennale and at Documenta in Kassel. Zmijewski's art deals with social issues, and sometimes the works take the form of sociological experiments. He shows passion in exploring how individuals interact on issues with political and historical implications and on issues that touch on democracy. The exhibition includes a new work that has never been shown before.

The exhibition is produced in collaboration with Polska institutet, the Polish Institute in Stockholm (www.polskainstitutet.se)
