Inspired by his own dog, the box was shaped like a Scottish Terrier. For the bank\u2019s 100th anniversary, <em>Skotten<\/em> was produced in ceramic in three sizes as a gift to the bank\u2019s customers.<\/p>\n<p><em>Skotten<\/em> was made for Handelsbanken, but KF produced many of their own money boxes. Thrift was from the start one of the cooperative\u2019s most important ideals. KF fought against a destructive credit culture, and during the 1930s KF ran thousands of study circles in household economics. Consumption was to be sensible and moderate.
