Ikoniska skulpturer, storsäljande publiksuccéer och ett särpräglat förhållningssätt till glas – varmt välkommen på vernissage för Designarkivets stora sommarutställning med Åsa Jungnelius!

Med hjälp av speglar och färgade glasbitar skapar ett kalejdoskop ständigt föränderliga mönster. Kalejdoskop, årets sommarutställning på Designarkivet, speglar processerna bakom Åsa Jungnelius mångfacetterade konstnärskap. Genom skisser och prototyper som aldrig tidigare visats ger utställningen en unik inblick i Jungnelius gränsöverskridande idéarbete och okonventionella produktionsprocesser.

Onsdag 24 juni är det bubbel, mingel och vernissage! Musei- och arkivchef Jonas Holmberg inleder med ett invigningstal följt av ett samtal med Åsa Jungnelius om begärets mekanismer, hålrummets kapacitet och den ständiga växelverkan mellan konst och design som kännetecknar Jungnelius praktik.

Iconic sculptures, bestselling crowd favourites, and a distinctive approach to glass – a very warm welcome to the opening of Designarkivet’s major summer exhibition featuring Åsa Jungnelius!

Using mirrors and coloured pieces of glass, a kaleidoscope creates ever-changing patterns. This year’s summer exhibition at Designarkivet reflects the processes behind the multifaceted artistic practice of Åsa Jungnelius. Through sketches and prototypes never before shown, the exhibition offers a unique insight into Jungnelius’s boundary-crossing ideas and unconventional production processes.

On Wednesday 24 June, join us for drinks, mingling, and the opening of Kaleidoscope. Museum and Archive Director Jonas Holmberg will open the evening, followed by a conversation with Åsa Jungnelius exploring the mechanisms of desire, the potential of cavities, and the constant interplay between art and design that characterises her practice.
