Vad händer när samtida konstnärer tolkar hundra år av konstnärlig tillverkning? Under en månads tid har Clara Busch och Marlene Lindmark undersökt keramikern och konstnären Gabriel Burmeisters och Gabriel Keramiks konstnärliga och platsutvecklande arv. Utifrån detta har Busch och Lindmark inspirerats till egna verk som nu visas i utställningen I Gabriels fotspår. Under utställningsperioden erbjuds kostnadsfria guidade visningar ledda av projektledarna Anneli Berglund, bild- och formutvecklare, och Veronica Lindblad, koordinator för pedagogik och projekt. I visningarna berättar de om utställningen, projektet bakom och om varför just Clara Busch och Marlene Lindmark bjudits in.

OM I GABRIELS FOTSPÅR

Visningarna arrangeras i samband med I Gabriels fotspår. I projektet uppmärksammar Kalmar konstmuseum och Gabriel Keramik 100-årsjubileumet av konstnären och keramikern Gabriel Burmeisters etablering av Gabriel Keramik i Timmernabben. I projektet har konstnärerna Clara Busch och Marlene Lindmark bjudits in att tolka Burmeisters konstnärliga och platsutvecklande arv. Se hela utställningsprogrammet här.

What happens when contemporary artists interpret a hundred years of artistic production? For a month, Clara Busch and Marlene Lindmark have investigated the artistic and place-developing legacy of the ceramist and artist Gabriel Burmeister and Gabriel Keramik. Based on this, Busch and Lindmark have been inspired to create their own works that are now on display in the exhibition I Gabriels fotspår. During the exhibition period, free guided tours are offered led by project leaders Anneli Berglund, image and form developer, and Veronica Lindblad, coordinator for pedagogy and projects. In the tours, they talk about the exhibition, the project behind it, and why Clara Busch and Marlene Lindmark were invited.
